분향소 혹은 향단을 만들고 속죄금 일종의 헌금을 바치게 하고 손발을 정갈하게 씻고 올리브 유와 계피로 만든 관유와 향으로 거룩하게 가다듬고 예배에 임하라는 의미로 보이는 출애굽기 30장입니다.
한국과 비슷한 제사 문화?
1. "You shall make an altar on which to burn incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.
옛날에는 동서양 문화 색채가 확연히 다르다고 생각했고 특히 기독교와 유교 문화는 무관한 것을 당연시 여겼는데요. 점점 성경을 읽을수록 비슷한 부분이 많다는 생각이 듭니다. 출애굽기 30장 1절은 향을 피울 제단에 관해서 나오는데요. 향을 피우는 문화가 성경에 나와 있다는 것이 신기 방기.
2. A cubit shall be its lengh, and it cubit its breadth. It shall be square, and two cubits shall be its height. Its homs shall be of one piece with it.
3. You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and round its sides and its homs. And you shall make a moulding of gold round it.
4. And you shall make two golden rings for it. Under its moulding on two opposite sides of it you shall make them, and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it.
5. You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
6. And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, if front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you.
7. And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it,
8. and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the LORD throughout your generations.
9. You shall not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt offering, or a grain offering, and you shall not pour a drink offering on it.
10. Aaron shall make atonement on its homs once a year. With the blood of the sin offering of atonement he shall make atonement for it once in the year throughout your generations. It is most holy the LORD."
하나님께서 향을 피울 제단에 대한 규격을 언급하시고 해질녘에 불태우라고 하는데요. 한국에서 제사 지낼 때도 해 질 녘에 지내고 그러지 않았나요? 아무래도 제례 문화가 여기서 비롯되었나 싶기도 하고요. 과거에는 서양의 종교를 흡수한 줄 알았는데 그냥 인류는 아브라함에서부터 시작된 것이 맞나 봅니다. 아브라함도 아버지와 비슷하게 들리고요.
세금까지 걷는 구나
11. The LORD said to Moses,
12. " When you take the census of the people of Israel, then each shall give a ransom for his life to the LORD when you number them, that there be no plague among them when you number them.
13. Each one who is numbered in the census shall give this: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the sheked is twenty gerahs) half a shekel as an offering to the LORD.
14. Everyone who is numbered in the census, from twenty years old and upwards, shall give the LORD's offering.
15. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when you give the LORD'S offering to make atonement for your lives.
16. You shall take the atonement money from the people of Israel and shall give it for the service of the tent of meeting, that it may bring the people of Israel to remembrance before the Lord, so as to make atonement for your lives."
하나님이 모세를 통해 인구 조사를 하여 세금 걷는 일을 지시하셨네요. 일종의 속죄금이라고 하는데요. 무섭습니다. 뭔가 공평하게 진행되는 것 같으면서도 공산국가가 따로 없어 보이네요.
발은 놋그릇에 씻고
17. The Lord said to Moses,
18. " You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its stand of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it,
19. With which Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet.
20. When they go into the tent of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn a food offering to the Lord, they shall wash with water, so that they may not die.
21. They shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they may not die. It shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his offspring throughout their generations."
제사를 지낼 때 손과 발을 씻는 등 경건한 자세로 지내야 불경죄로 죽지 않는다는 의미 같습니다. 어찌 보면 죽지 않을 만큼 씻어라로 읽히기도 하는데요. 이렇게 제를 지낼 때 손과 발을 씻는 의식은 자손 대대로 법령처럼 지키라고 하는데 확실히 선진화된 행성에서 온 주님이 분명합니다.
가장 좋은 향신료를 가져라
아카시아 나무와 카시아 나무가 따로 있는 줄 처음 알았습니다. 아카시아 나무로는 제단 등 튼튼한 목조를 만들고 카시아는 계수나무를 의미합니다. 계수나무의 껍질이 계피인 줄도 이번에 알았네요.
22. The Lord said to Moses,
23. "Take the finest spices: of liquid myrth 500 shekels, and of sweet-smelling cinnamon half as much, that is, 250, and 250 of aromatic cane,
24 and 500 of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of loive oil.
25. And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer, it shall be a holy anointing oil.
26. With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony,
27. and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,
28. and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin and its stand.
왜 최고의 향신료를 갖춰라고 한 지는 모르겠지만요.
29. You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them will become holy.
30. You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests.
31. And you shall say to the people of Israel, ' This shall be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations.
32. It shall not be poured on the body of an ordinary person, and you shall make no other like it in composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
33. Whoever compounds any like it or whoever puts any of it on an outsider shall be cut off from his people."
뭔가 오일과 향신료를 팔기 위해서인가 싶기도 하고요. 대충 보아하니 향을 피우고 향내가 나게 하는 것이 경건하고 거룩함을 의미하는 것도 있지만 그 향과 연기가 하늘에 닿아 일종의 신호를 캐치하는 것 같기도 하고요. 후각이 엄청 발달하신 것 같다는 생각이 드네요.
향에 이어 맛
34. The Lord said to Moses, "Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense( of each shall there be an equal part),
35. and make an incense blended as by the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy
36. You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy for you.
37. And the incense that you shall make according to its composition, you shall not make for yourselves. It shall be for you holy to the Lord.
38. Whoever makes any like it to use as perfume shall be cut off from his people."
향에 이어 거룩한 맛에 관해 말씀하십니다. 그리고 일반인은 직접 향을 피울 수 없고 그 재료들로 향수를 만들었다가는 죽을 줄 알라고 하시네요. 사치를 경계하시는 것인지 신성한 영역을 건들지 말라는 것인지 아리송합니다.
