12지파에 대한 축복을 담은 신명기 33장

모세는 12지파에게 공평하지 않은 축복같은 유언을 해줍니다. 그리고 이스라엘 전체에 대한 남다른 축복을 이어갑니다.  야곱이 아들들에게 했던 축복과 비슷한 것 같지만 사뭇 다른 구석이 있습니다. 모세의 축복은 과거 행적보다는 미래의 번영과 하나님의 보호에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

각 지파에 대한 축복

1. This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death. 2. He said, " The Lord came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. 3 Yes, he loved his people, all his holy ones were in his hand; so they followed in your steps, receiving direction from you, 4 when Moses commanded us a law, as a possession for the assembly of Jacob. 5 Thus the Lord became king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together. 6 "Let Reuben live, and not die, but let his men be few." 7 And this he said of Judan; "Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him in to his people. With your hands contend for him, and be a help against his adversaries."

모세의 노래 신명기 32장

 

8 And of Levi he said, "Give to Levi your Thummim, and your Urim to your godly one, whom you tested at Massah, with whom you quarrelled at the waters of Meribah; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant. 10 They shall teach Jacob your rules and Israel your low; they shall put incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar. 11 Bless, O Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; crush the loins of his adversaries, of those who hate him, that they rise not again." 12 Of Benjamin he said, "The beloved of the Lord dwells in safety. The High God surrounds him all day long, and dwells between his shoulders."

13 And of Joseph he said, "Blessed by the Lord be his land, with the choicest gifts of heaven above, and of the deep that crouches beneath, 14 with the choicest fruits of the sun and the rich yield of the months, 15 with the finest produce of the ancient mountains and the abundance of the everlasting hills, 16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favour of him who dwells in the bush. May these rest on the head of Joseph, on the pate of hi who is prince among his brothers. 17 A firstborn bull he has majesty,  and his horns are the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall gore the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh."

 

 

모세가 죽을 때를 알며 각 지파들에게 유언인지 축복인지를 남기는데요. 르우벤에게는 인구가 줄지 않고 생존할 것을 축복합니다. 이게 무슨 축복인지는 모르겠습니다. 르우벤은 야곱의 첫째 아들 장자였으나 아버지 야곱의 첩 빌하와 동침하는 죄를 저질러 장자의 권리를 상실했습니다. 그리고 가나안 본토가 아닌 요단강 동편을 가업으로 받길 원했습니다. 그렇게 가나안과 분리되고 있었기에 르우벤 지파가 인구를 유지하고 존속하는 것이 가장 중요한 축복이 된 것입니다. 쇠락해 가는 가문이라 이거죠. 유다에게는 전쟁에서 도움을 받고 승리할 것을 기원합니다. 그리고 레위 지파에게는 율법을 가르치고 제사장 역할을 하며 하나님께 충성할 것을 축복합니다. 베냐민에게는 하나님께 보호받고 평안을 누릴 것을 기원합니다. 요셉에겐 땅의 풍요와 번성을 축복 받습니다.

18 And of Zebulaun he said, "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and Issachar, in your tents. 19 They shall call peoples to their mountain; there they offer right sacrifices; for they draw from the abundance of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand." 20 And of Gad he said, "Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp. 21 He chose the best of the land for himself, for there a commander's portion was reserved; and he came with the heads of the people, with Israel he executed the jutice of the Lord, and his judgements for Israel." 22 And of Dan he said, "Dan is a lion's cub that leaps from Bashan." 23 And of Naphtali he said, "O Naphli he said, "O Naphtali, sated with favour, and full of the blessing of the Lord, possess the lake and the south." 24 And of Asher he said, "Most blessed of sons be Asher; let him be the favourite of his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25 Your bars shall be iron and bronze, and as your days, so shall your strength be. 

 

 

스블론과 잇사갈 지파에 대한 축복도 이어지는데요. 스블론 지파는 해양을 통해 부를 쌓고 잇사갈은 학문과 신앙을 통해 번성할 거라고 합니다. 갓지파는 강한 전사 지파로 전쟁에서 용맹함을 보일 거라고 축복합니다. 그리고 갓 지파는 요단강 동편의 비옥한 땅을 차지했습니다. 단 지파에게는 사자 새끼라고 하는데요. 납달리 지파는 서쪽과 남쪽을 차지할 거라고 하며 하나님의 특별한 은혜와 풍요를 입을 거라고 합니다. 납달리 지파는 특별히 예뻐한 티가 나네요. 납달리 가문은 야곱이 특별히 예뻐한 라헬과 연결된 혈통이어서 그렇다고 하네요. 아셀 지파도 축복이 남달라 보입니다.

이스라엘 전체 축복

 

26 "There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. 27 The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, Destroy. 28 So Israel lived in safety, Jacob lived alone, in a land of grain and wine, whose heavens drop down dew. 29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, and you shall tread upon their backs."       

 

여수룬은 이스라엘을 시적으로 표현한 이름입니다. 하나님의 엄청나게 각별하고 특별한 사랑을 차고 넘치게 받으며 축복또한 넘칩니다. 하나님은 이스라엘의 계속되는 배신에도 한결같은 사랑을 보여주십니다.
