마지막 재앙과 애굽에게 내린 저주(출애굽기 11장)

출애굽기 11장은 하나님이 이집트 왕 파라오에게 9가지 재앙을 내리고도 항복하지 않은 것에 대한 철저한 응징을 시사하는 것 같습니다. 모세를 통하여 애굽을 탈출하면서 이웃의 재산을 약탈해 가지고 오라고 하고 마지막 역병을 내린다는 것부터 애굽에서 난 모든 처음 것들은 죽게 만들겠다고 합니다. 그러면서 여호와와 그를 따르는 이스라엘 백성들에 대해 함부로 생각하지 못하게 불순종에 대한 벌을 주려는 것으로 보입니다.

마지막 역병과 떠날 준비

 

출애굽기 10장 읽기

 

1. The LORD said to Moses, " Yet one plague more I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will drive you away completely.

2. Speak now in the hearing of the people, that they ask, every man of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, for silver and gold jewelry."

3. And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants and in the sight of the people.

 

로드는 모세를 통해 애굽을 탈출하기 전에 애굽에게 마지막 역병을 주겠다고 암시하는 것 같습니다. 왜 굳이 떠나는 마당에 역병까지 안기는지는 모르겠지만요. 쫓아오지 못하게 하려고 했나? 그리고 하나님은 이웃의 금은보화를 가져오라고 합니다. 아무래도 먼 길을 떠나니까 여비가 필요한 것도 있었겠지만요.

 

 

 

그런 것을 보면 하나님은 지시와 가이드라인만 줄 뿐 갑자기 직접적으로 금전적 이득을 주진 않는가 봅니다. 아무튼, 이스라엘 민족은 제대로 받지도 못하고 정당한 임금을 받지 못한 것도 있으니 그들 나름은 정당한 대가를 받고 오는 거라고 생각했을지도 모르겠네요. 그렇게 물건을 이웃에게 가져왔지만 좀도둑 소리는 듣지 않겠다 이런 것이지 이집트 백성들에게 여호와에 대한 위엄과 두려움을 심어주겠다는 의지도 담겨 있습니다.

 

그러니까 떠나기 전에 이집트에 역병 던지고 이집트인 재산은 뺏어오고 그런 와중에 이스라엘 민족과 이들이 믿는 하나님에 대해서는 경외심을 갖게 할 것이란 거네요.

장자에 대한 저주

 

4. So Moses said, " Thus says the LORD:' About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt, 

5. and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the handmill, and all the firstbron of the cattle.

6. There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again.

7. But not a dog shall growl against any of the people of I srael, either man or beast, that you may know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and I sael.'

8. And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, 'Get out, you and all the people who who follow you.' And after that I will go out." And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.

9. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh will not listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt."

 

10. Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go out of his land.

 

 

 

마치 수메르 전설 속 니비루 행성에서는 치열한 서열 다툼이 있었고 지구로 온 차남이었나 아무튼 그래서인지 유독 장자를 미워하는 경향이 있는 것 같습니다. 여태까지의 에피소드를 보면 카인과 아벨도 동생을 시기하여 형이 살인을 하였듯이요. 이번에도 하나님께서는 이집트를 나오면서 애굽 땅에 있는 모든 처음 난 것은 사람이나 짐승이나 다 죽을 것이라고 저주를 내립니다. 그러면서 이스라엘 자손에게는 털 끝만큼도 못 건드리게 하겠다며 확실한 선택과 사랑을 보여주십니다.
